Compare Tungsten’s topologies to find the ideal solution for your MySQL and MariaDB clustering needs
Tungsten is the only MySQL clustering software that works out-of-the-box, providing all core components in a single package. These components are designed to work together, seamlessly managing replication and cluster orchestration.
Our tungsten solutions are cross-platform compatible, offering automated failover and seamless operation across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid-cloud environments while ensuring data integrity.
Find the perfect cluster for your needs — scalable performance or cost-effective reliability.
High-demand environments that require maximum resilience, scalability, and performance.

With Tungsten Standalone High Availability Cluster (Tungsten STA) all writes are routed by the Connectors to the active Primary MySQL or MariaDB node in a single cluster, with passive Replicas available for the load-balanced read traffic and for the failover to ensure continuous availability.
With Tungsten Composite Active/Passive Cluster (Tungsten CAP), clustering spans sites, regions, or both, while replication flows in one direction between sites/regions. A single writeable primary node handles all of the database writes, while passive disaster recovery clusters provide failover support.
With Tungsten Composite Active/Active Cluster (Tungsten CAA) each cluster has its own writeable primary node, with all writes directed to the local primary through the Tungsten Connectors. These multi-site aware Connectors seamlessly redirect traffic to other clusters during a local outage, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
The Tungsten Dynamic Active/Active Cluster (Tungsten DAA) combines the simplicity of Composite Active/Passive (CAP) with the automation of Composite Active/Active (CAA). Using the Tungsten Connector, writes are directed to a single primary node while reads can be routed to local replicas, avoiding conflicts common in traditional Active/Active setups. With a simple Connector setting change, the cluster can switch between sending all writes to a single primary or sending writing to the local primary.
Tungsten Cluster solutions are built to support organizations with different needs—from small-scale operations to large, multi-region deployments.
