We are excited to announce the release of Tungsten Clustering and Tungsten Replicator v6.1.21! This release brings several improvements, new features, and bug fixes to enhance the functionality and stability of our powerful clustering and replication solutions.
A Few Highlights
Behavior Changes
In this release, there are some changes to the behavior of Tungsten Cluster and Tungsten Replicator that may affect existing scripts and integration tools. It is important to update any scripts or environments that utilize these tools to ensure compatibility with the new configuration.
Command-Line Tools
The tungsten_skip_all
command (along with alias tungsten_skip_seqno
) now displays the full pendingExceptionMessage instead of just pendingError. Additionally, the "More" choice will show the pendingErrorEventId and the pendingError for better error handling and troubleshooting.
Enabling a custom backup script no longer requires it to be set as the default option. In other words, setting --repl-backup-method
to the custom backup script is not mandatory anymore, providing more flexibility in backup configurations.
The use of connector graceful-stop
together with systemd
for upgrades has been discontinued due to underlying changes in binary that could potentially confuse systemd scripts.
Improvements, New Features and Functionality
In Tungsten Clustering and Tungsten Replicator v6.1.21, several improvements and new features have been introduced to enhance the functionality and usability of the command-line tools. The tungsten show processlist
command, which previously could error with a disconnection message listing connections disconnected on the MySQL server side, has been fixed in this release. Additionally, the tpm diag command now captures the output of cctrl> cluster topology validate
, providing improved diagnostic capabilities for troubleshooting and analysis.
Note that at time of release, there is currently no xtrabackup binary available for ARM.
Furthermore, this release also includes platform-specific deployment enhancements. ARM 64-bit processor support has been added for Linux aarch64, expanding compatibility and deployment options for different architectures.
Bug Fixes
Fixes for issues related to node status reporting and key management with the tungsten_get_status
and tpm ask keys
commands.
